About Rachel Hope

Creator of the TaroCoach™ Method

I’m not a life coach.

And that’s actually where this story begins.

Five years ago - after a few difficult years -  I founded Soul Sisters, creating retreats for women navigating the changes, challenges and uncertainty of midlife.

At the retreats, I used journaling, reflective exercises and Tarot as tools to help women explore what was going on beneath the surface and  help them articulate things they hadn't been able to put into words.

I quickly discovered that the cards could do something rather special.

They gave people something to look at, respond to and explore, thereby creating a different kind of conversation from simply asking another question.

My co-host, an experienced life coach, was struck by how effective this could be.

And that got me thinking -

Could this work within professional coaching too?

From Curiosity to Methodology

Rather than simply teaching coaches Tarot meanings, I began exploring how the cards could be used within the coaching process itself.

Over time, I developed and refined a structured approach using the suits, numbers, imagery and Court Cards as different lenses through which a client can explore their experience.

I've since used Tarot with more than 100 women, alongside life coaches, therapists and a master coach, continually observing, testing and refining the approach.

What emerged was the TaroCoach™ Method:

A practical, professional and ethical framework for using Tarot as a visual reflective tool within coaching.

It's not about prediction or fortune-telling.

It's not about becoming a Tarot expert or memorising 78 card meanings.

And it's not about replacing good coaching.

It’s about giving the coach another way to help clients see what may be difficult to access through conversation alone.

I saw the Gap. So I created the Method.

I became increasingly convinced that there was a gap between the worlds of Tarot and professional coaching.

Tarot had enormous potential as a tool for reflection, imagery and intuitive insight, but much of what was available to coaches was either too traditional, too mystical, or simply lacked a clear coaching framework.

So I created the thing I couldn't find -

A  structured way to bring the two together.

Today, I train coaches to use that methodology confidently, so they can introduce Tarot in a way that feels grounded, client-led and completely at home within their existing coaching practice.
